Welcome to Love Yoga New Zealand.
LoveYogaNewZealand is a beautiful and growing community open to everyone – from absolute beginners to experienced yogis. Our expanding Online community, offers a reflection of our regular studio classes: traditional Ashtanga, Hatha Yoga and Restorative classes.
If you are new to yoga, there are some great options to choose from – Become a member, or if you’re in Taupo, New Zealand, take a look at our studio timetable and come join us on the mat in our beautiful shala which is purpose-built, deliciously warm and fully equipped.
Our teachers have a wealth of experience, with the blessing of their teachers John Scott and Peter Sanson, they are honoured to share their love for yoga with others. We regularly host workshops and retreats, take a look and our upcoming schedule and find out more.
The benefits of regular practice are almost immediate and will result in improved circulation and cardiovascular ability, physical strength, flexibility, balance, muscle tone, loss of excess weight, as well as improving our ability to focus and calm the mind.
Students new to the practice of yoga, or new to Ashtanga are all welcome to join us on the mat. We highly recommend either the Gentle Hatha or Mysore style classes, the first is a softer entry, the second is a slow dive into the Ashtanga system.
Mysore classes are a fantastic way to explore your practice on a more individual basis. Starting with the Primary Series and progressing at your own pace, adjustments are specific to your individual needs. This means absolute beginners and advanced yogis are welcome, since your teacher will support your practise, wherever it is.
COUNTED / LED
Dynamic, strong and lots of fun, led classes help bring us back into a steady rhythm, whilst enjoying the energy and breath of the room. Some understanding of the Primary Series is helpful for these classes.
